Juanita (owner & coach)
What began as a weight loss challenge after my second child, quickly turned into falling in love with the community and the sport of CrossFit. So much so, CrossFit Olympia was born in 2008. I love what I do. Like really love it. Not only do I get to change people’s lives for the better, mentally and physically, I get to know a really awesome community of people. People from every walk of life, who all do amazing things, and have found common ground in CrossFit. I want that for you. I want you to be the best version of yourself. Whatever that looks like. I will show up every time you do.

Chris
I have been doing CrossFit and have been part of the CFO family since 2013. Along with my CrossFit L1, I am a certified breathing and breath work instructor through The Breathing Class. I have spent over 25 years in the Fire Service as a First Responder. I believe that CrossFit provides a great fitness foundation for First Responders and Tactical Athletes as well as anyone who is looking to improve their quality of life.

Jeff
My whole life I have been a sports enthusiast and enjoyed being active. I started CrossFit back in 2012 when I met my wife and have never looked back. I obtained my Level 1 and Level 2 certifications and have been a coach here at CFO since 2013. I currently work as a firefighter for Lacey Fire and I’ve been able to see a huge correlation to the demand on my body and the work being performed to what CrossFit’s basic methodologies are… and not just to the extreme of being a firefighter (in the most intense situations) but to the basic everyday life tasks and obligations. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the physical and mental growth in this gym and hope to be a part of your health journey.

Joe
What’s good! I’m Joe! Originally from Guam and was always into sports/fitness. Led me to getting a college degree in Sports and Exercise science from Seattle U. Discovered CrossFit randomly and have been doing it since 2015, which is what also led me to find my career as a chiropractor after competing in local competitions. And now here I am in Olympia! Here to help you out in your fitness journey and be one of your biggest cheer leaders!

Maddie
Hi! I’m Maddie, I have been doing CrossFit since 2012, and have my CrossFit L2 certification. What started as off season training for basketball quickly became my passion when basketball ended. CrossFit gave me that competitive feeling I was missing! I am a recent transplant to Washington and am originally from Wisconsin - Go Pack Go!
What I love the most about CrossFit is that it meets people exactly where they are. Everyone in the gym has a different story and a different “why”. What I love the most about coaching CrossFit is helping people push their limits and become stronger, healthier, and more confident - inside and outside the gym.
See you at the gym!

Terry
Coaching CrossFit since 2008, I’ve watched the methodology, the sport, and the community evolve—and my own perspective on what matters most in a fitness journey has grown alongside it. I’ve always believed in the principles of CrossFit and functional fitness for all, and that belief continues to guide the way I coach, teach, and lead.
In addition to coaching CrossFit, I serve as the Head Football Coach at Capital High School and teach Health and Physical Education. CrossFit’s influence shows up everywhere in my work—whether I’m designing a strength and conditioning plan for my football players, building a long-term development program, or creating PE lessons that focus on movement quality and real-world capability. Functional training, smart progressions, and purposeful programming are at the core of everything I do.
Outside the gym and the classroom, I’m blessed with an amazing wife and three incredible kids who inspire me every day. They remind me that fitness isn’t just about performance—it’s about being strong, capable, and present for the people you love.
After nearly two decades, I still believe in what CrossFit can do for people. The philosophy has changed over the years, and so have I, but the mission remains the same: help individuals move better, feel better, and build the confidence to tackle whatever life throws their way.

Brad
Brad has called Olympia home since the second grade. An athlete from an early age, he has participated in a variety of sports, including soccer, golf, cross country, and Taekwon-Do. His passion for strength and fitness eventually led him to weightlifting in his early twenties, and that passion ultimately became the foundation for his career in physical therapy.
Brad earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017 and is now the proud owner of Onward Physical Therapy in Olympia. Through his work, he is passionate about helping people move better, build strength, and achieve their goals. Whether that means returning to the activities they love, improving performance, or simply feeling more confident in their bodies.
In 2023, Brad earned his CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) certification after completing the course in University Place. Since then, he has incorporated CrossFit methodology into his rehabilitation practice, using movement, strength training, and functional exercise to help patients improve their performance and quality of life.
When he’s not working with patients, you can usually find Brad coaching morning classes and training during the midday or evening classes. He enjoys helping members build confidence in their movement, get stronger, and, most importantly, have fun along the way.
